A woman was shot dead on Sunday morning (25) by her former teammate, in the municipality of Água Azul do Norte, southeast of Pará. The suspect fled in a car and died after colliding head-on with a motorcade during police chase.

According to the Military Police, Maria Socorro Freitas de Oliveira, 54, was inside the gas station on Adolfo Bide Avenue when she was surprised by her ex-husband.

Lourival José de Oliveira, 67, arrived at the armed site and fired several shots at his ex-wife, from whom he had been separated for more than a year.

The Military Police isolated the crime scene and activated the Civil Police and the funeral home for the removal of Maria Oliveira's body.

After the murder, the suspect fled in a car and was chased by vehicles. During the escape, the vehicle collided head-on with a motorcade that followed in the opposite direction, and Lourival died at the scene.
