An incident inside the Wilmington Police department between a suspect and a uniformed officer was captured on video.

Witness tells me the man had walked into the PD headquarters located at 300 N Walnut, asking for help about something that occurred in Philly. An officer tells him he has to go to Philly to handle it, but the suspect then said he isn’t leaving until they help him. Thats when the situation escalated.

The officer tries to calm the man who then takes a swing at the officer before running out the door with several officers chasing him.

He was quickly captured in the parking lot across the street and taken into custody.
