A video circulating on social media records the moment in which a group of men beat a 55-year-old driver to death on an avenue in Manaus, Amazonas.

The incident occurred after the driver ran over a motorcyclist and fled without providing assistance.

He was chased by other motorcyclists, forcibly removed from his vehicle, violently attacked and stoned.

According to information from the Military Police, the driver was driving through the Armando Mendes neighborhood, in the East Zone of Manaus, when he ran over a delivery man who was riding a motorcycle.

After the accident, he fled without stopping to help the victim.

Upon witnessing the accident, other delivery men began to chase him and caught up with him on Avenida Autaz Mirim.

The video shows the moment when the group takes the driver out of the car and attacks him with punches, kicks and stones.

The driver did not resist the attacks and died at the scene, while the attackers fled, leaving the body on the street.

The Military Police searched the area, but were unable to locate those responsible.

The case is being investigated by the Specialized Homicide and Kidnapping Unit (DEHS), which is analyzing the video and looking for other images that could help identify those involved.

So far, there is no information about the health status of the motorcyclist who was hit.

In a note published on social media, the Amazonas Delivery Workers Union Leadership strongly condemned the actions of the motorcyclists involved in the beating, stating that they do not represent the motorcycle couriers category.
