Initial information, early this morning (August 30), due to a conflict, a group of about 3 people (including Mai Van An and Ms. Do Thi Ty) went to Hoa An fish market and argued loudly with Toan - a loading and unloading employee at the market.

After discovering the incident, some people present there stood up to stop it. After that, Toan left and returned a moment later with a gun.

When meeting the group again at a coffee shop near Hoa An fish market, Toan pulled out a gun and shot Mai Van An and Do Thi Ty (An's wife), seriously injuring the couple and requiring emergency hospitalization.

According to Dong Nai General Hospital, Mrs. Ty was shot in the stomach. Mr. An was shot in the head. Both are in critical condition and have been transferred to Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.

Dong Nai Provincial Police and related professional units arrived at the scene to conduct an investigation into the incident.

At the scene, authorities seized a black gun and several bullet casings.

The suspect named Toan has also been arrested.
