Otto Antônio Francisco de Sales Fernandes , 28, was killed this Sunday (22) after having his house invaded by a criminal who killed him with a shot to the head , in the living room of his own house, in Parque Mão Santa, East Zone of Teresina.

According to the Military Police (PM), the victim's wife and the couple's young daughter were in the house, inside the bedroom. The wife told the PM that she did not hear any gunshots because she was sleeping . She only found out what had happened when she left the bedroom in the morning and came across her husband dead in the living room.

Otto was suspected of murdering Matheus Elias Araújo da Silva , who was stabbed to death on October 12, 2017. He was responding to the case at liberty and the preliminary hearing for the case was scheduled for June 2025.

The victim's partner was also taken to the Police Station for negligent handling of stolen goods. She was in possession of a cell phone with a theft restriction .

The PM, the Civil Police (PC) and the Institute of Legal Medicine (IML) were at the scene and carried out the appropriate procedures. The case is under investigation.
