Gas tanker loses brakes, runs over two people in Edomex, leaving them injured - MexicoPlayMuteRemaining Time -1:31Fullscreen Uploaded On:Wednesday 7th of May 2025A serious accident occurred on the afternoon of Monday, May 5, in the municipality of Los Reyes, La Paz, State of Mexico , after an LP gas tanker truck transporting more than 15,000 liters of fuel lost control on a slope, leaving two people seriously injured and multiple material damages.The incident occurred at the intersection of El Cerrito Avenue and Bugambilias Street, in the area known as "La Festival." According to security camera footage, the heavy vehicle was descending at high speed without brakes when the driver, in a desperate attempt to save his life, opened the door and jumped out of the vehicle.The video shows how the vehicle first hits a parked white pickup truck, dragging it several meters before colliding with another cargo truck.At the same time, two young men are seen realizing the danger and trying to run to avoid being hit , but are hit by the truck that jumped onto the sidewalk. One of them manages to partially avoid the impact, while the other is hit after the second impact.Civil Protection personnel and emergency services quickly arrived on the scene to provide medical care to the injured and secure the area, as the vehicle was carrying a large amount of LP gas. Fortunately, no leak or explosion was reported, preventing the accident from becoming a larger tragedy.
