Jiovam Ribeiro de Araújo, 49 years old, was shot dead in a business in the center of the municipality. All crimes are related to criminal factions operating in the city, says the Civil Police.

Images from the establishment's security camera (see above) show two suspects arriving on a motorcycle. One of them gets out of the vehicle and fires several shots at the victim, wearing a yellow shirt, and two other men who were inside the bar. A child, behind the counter, witnesses the scene and ducks to avoid the shots.

According to the Military Police, Jiovam died after being hit and another man, shot in the legs, was taken to the hospital in Avelino Lopes. The suspected shooters fled after the crime and have not yet been found.
