The moment a train collided with a flatbed truck in West Texas has been captured in dramatic amateur footage.

The driver of the tractor-trailer got out of the vehicle, which had become stuck on the tracks, moments before it was struck. It was dragged for around half a mile before coming to a stop, but no one was injured in the accident.

The video shows the rig wrapping around the front of the train as items on the truck are thrown high into the air and the crossing is enveloped in a cloud of dirt.
