three suspects in an armed robbery sprinting out of a Waldorf 7-Eleven and piling into a getaway car stopped right next to a marked Charles County Sheriff's Office patrol car.

The reported robbery occurred at 3 am on Thursday, February 8 at the 7-Eleven location at 11575 Berry Road near the intersection with US 301.

In the 50-second video provided to WUSA9, two marked Sheriff's Office patrol cars can be seen circling the parking lot of the convenience store and then stopping in front of the store. The officer in the lead vehicle gets out and walks around to the passenger side where he appears to look at something in the passenger seat.

That's when one suspect appears in dark clothing and is seen sprinting out of the store and into a dark-colored sedan which has slowly pulled just in front of the Sheriff's Office vehicle. Five seconds later, two other suspects run out of the store and you see the officer pull out his sidearm and level it at the vehicle.

By then, however, the third suspect is in the vehicle and it begins to pull away. You then see the second patrol unit initiate its lights and pull away to follow the suspect vehicle. The first officer can be seen on his radio, presumably calling into dispatch to report what had just occurred.
