A 23-year-old man died in the early hours of Friday (4) after getting involved in a fight over political differences. The incident took place in the city of Prado, in southern Bahia.

According to witnesses, Gilliard Lima dos Santos and his brother arrived near a political committee and approached a young man. The pair then argued with the man because he supported a different candidate.

Moments later, Gilliard goes to the car, grabs his gun and a shootout begins. However, the third boy was also armed.

According to information from the Military Police, three men were shot during the confusion. Gilliard was hit in the chest and taken to the Itamaraju Hospital. However, he arrived at the unit dead.

His brother was shot in the rib and remains hospitalized in stable condition. In turn, the boy approached by the duo was shot several times in the chest and back. He is hospitalized in serious condition.

The case is being investigated by the Civil Police.
