Ten minutes before the accident, employees of traffic police officers stopped the BMW 7-Series, driven by a driver, allegedly drunk.

Police decided to take the driver to the station for examination. Policy states that the drunk driver has to sit in the patrol car on the way to the station, but he refused, and and police allowed him to sit in the BMW as one of the police officers was taking him to the local station.

As the police officer (driving the BMW) with the drunk driver (also in the BMW) were crossing the intersection with the green light, the Mercedes has run the red at high speed.

The owner of BMW was killed instantly, while the police officer driving the BMW died this morning.

Police believe the Mercedes was in a drag race, given the car behind the speeding Mercedes was also at high speed and had to take evasive action to avoid another collision.

The driver of "Mercedes" survived the impact, but remains in a serious condition
