An off-duty military police officer was executed with dozens of shots in Praça do Galo, in the Parque Fluminense neighborhood, in Duque de Caxias , in Baixada Fluminense, on the afternoon of this Thursday .

Witnesses say that Rafael Gonçalves da Silva left a gym in a car and was surprised by bandits, who opened fire. The shots were fired at the driver's door, who died instantly.

The Military Police said they isolated the area for expert analysis by the Baixada Fluminense Homicide Division, which is investigating the case. The officer was assigned to the 9th BPM (Rocha Miranda).
