A fight between three brothers shocked the city of Paranatinga on the morning of last Sunday, February 5th. Maria*, João* and Pedro* got into a physical fight and almost caused a tragedy. The fight was already ugly while Maria was beaten by Pedro and was defended by João, but the situation got worse when the older one said he would kill her.

Determined to save his younger brother's life, João used a hoe, a hammer and a knife to kill his older brother. Pedro survived the blows, but was rescued in a serious condition and taken to a hospital in Rondonópolis.

According to the incident report, Maria was being kicked by Pedro when João intervened, throwing punches at the aggressor. The attitude, however, caused grace in Pedro, who mocked his brother, making him even more nervous. The teenager then took the hoe and threw it at Pedro, breaking its handle.

Then the older brother threw the young woman to the ground and claimed he would kill her, taking a hammer to commit the crime. João then got back into a physical fight with him, took the tool and used it to strike several blows on the head of the firstborn, who fell to the ground.

Seeing that his brother was still alive, João took the knife and struck Pedro several times in the neck. Earlier, he instructed his sister to turn her face away so that she would not see what he was going to do. João would have told his sister that it was necessary to end the act so that the eldest would not chase after them after recovering.

João took Maria and fled the scene of the crime, but for some reason not detailed in the police report, the girl did not accompany her brother. She was located by the Military Police during the search and narrated the facts to the agents. According to her, Pedro has been attacking her and her mother for years.
