A 20-year-old man was found dead this Friday (12/20) with his neck slit in the city of São Bento, Baixada Maranhense. According to the Military Police, the accused had lent a bicycle to the victim, who took a long time to return it.

The case was registered around 10 am this Friday (12/20) in the village of Outeiro de Maria Justina, in São Bento. The victim was identified as Nadilson Carlos Soares, a resident of São Bento and originally from the municipality of Peri Mirim, also in Baixada Maranhense.

The police said that family members said that Nadilson and the accused were at home when the victim asked for the accused's bicycle and left. Minutes later, the suspect allegedly grabbed a shotgun and a machete and went after the victim, saying that the young man was taking too long.

Upon finding him, the accused allegedly fired a shot and then stabbed him several times in the neck and hands with a machete. The body was taken to the local hospital, where the police chief and the agent took charge of the incident. I would also like to inform you that patrols were conducted in an attempt to locate the accused, but without success.
