A 27-year-old motorcycle taxi driver was shot dead on the morning of Friday (18) on BR-408, near the Ana Lúcia School, in Tracunhaém. The victim was identified as João Guilherme Trindade de Lira Júnior. According to preliminary information, João Guilherme was on a red Honda motorcycle when he was intercepted by occupants of an unidentified car. The criminals fired several shots, and the victim, even trying to flee, did not resist his injuries and died on the spot. The Criminalistics Institute (IC) carried out the forensic examinations, and the victim's motorcycle, without restrictions, was released to the family. João Guilherme, who once lived in Nazaré da Mata and worked as a motorcycle taxi driver, recently lived in Olinda or Abreu e Lima. He was known for drug use and alleged involvement with trafficking in the region of Nazaré da Mata.
