A 21-year-old woman was murdered early Monday morning, 4.28.25, on César Marilde Street, in the Paraíso neighborhood, in Santa Cruz, a city located 115 kilometers from Natal, in Rio Grande do Norte. Luana Jamilly Lopes de Souza was hit in the head with several blows from a motorcycle helmet.Locals reported to the Military Police that they heard screams and calls for help, but were unable to identify the perpetrator. The victim's body was left lying on the street. The attacker fled on a motorcycle and has not yet been located.The Civil Police are investigating the case and are working with several hypotheses, the main one being a crime of passion. Residents of the region were shocked by the brutality of the murder, which disfigured the victim's face.The team from the Technical-Scientific Institute of Forensics (ITEP) in Natal was called to carry out the usual procedures, and the Civil Police prepared the report that will be attached to the investigation.
