The Las Cruces Police Department will hold a press conference on Oct. 14 to share details of the Oct. 9 officer-involved shooting that resulted in the death of Philip Adrian Mullin.

Mullin was shot and killed by an unnamed officer in the parking lot of the Chili's restaurant on Telshor Blvd.

Mullin, 50, of Las Cruces was reportedly acting aggressively toward patrons and employees at Chili's Grill and Bar. The first officer on scene made contact in the parking lot with Mullin around 6 p.m. According to police, the officer discharged at least one round that struck Mullin.
