A 46-year-old man had a hoe stuck in his head during a fight in the Redenção Center, 64 kilometers away from Fortaleza, this Thursday (5). The suspect of the crime was arrested.

The victim was rescued conscious and taken in a SAMU ambulance to a local hospital. The man was later transferred to the Hospital Instituto Doutor José Frota (IJF), in Fortaleza. His health condition was not reported.

According to the Military Police, officers were called to an attempted murder. During the search for those involved, officers located the victim in the hospital and the suspect in another part of the city.

After his arrest, the 30-year-old suspect was taken to the Baturité Regional Police Station, where he was charged with attempted murder. The Redenção Municipal Police Station is conducting investigations to clarify the case.
