A 24-year-old woman was crushed to death

by a Manhattan L train after she jumped onto the subway tracks to use the bathroom and then couldn't get back on the platform

The woman was on the platform at the 14th St-Union Square stop when witnesses saw her jump on the tracks about 10:20 p.m. on Monday, cops said. Investigators believe she jumped on the tracks to do the bathroom, source said.

When a train entered the station, the woman ran to get back on the platform but was struck by the train and died at the scene. Her name was not immediately released.
