Two students were shot dead after noon on Wednesday, September 18, in the Santa Rosa canton of the El Oro province.

Walter Peña, 19, and Emely Feijóo, 18, were attacked at 12:45 by an armed subject while they were riding a motorcycle on Loja and Ñ streets in the Las Palmeras neighborhood.

His killer, accompanied by another person, was also travelling on a motorcycle. A video that captured the double murder showed that the hitman first shot the young man repeatedly, ending his life instantly.
