Two men who were talking to their female bartender friend when something they said was misconstrued by a fellow patron.

The man that apparently overheard the friendly banter was then purported to have mouthed off to the two men and, when confronted by them, reached for a knife that was sitting on a table nearby. This in turn, led to one of those men bringing out a knife of his own.

Several minutes a s the threats were lobbed back and forth. Once the man decided he was ready to go, the two men lit into him.

The man only suffered minor injuries and the two suspects later turned themselves in.

Daryon Jones and Eric Davis now face misdemeanor battery charges.
