A 20-year-old man is recovering from his injuries after falling approximately 50 feet from a tree into the Washougal River.

Kyle Ponciano said he and his friends had been drinking at Naked Falls on Saturday afternoon when the decided to climb high into the tree.

As he was climbing, a branch snapped and Ponciano tumbled out of the tree, hit a cliffside and then fell into the water.

The fall was captured on video, and Ponciano hopes the footage will help others think twice about making the same mistakes he did.
