A motorcyclist's foot flew 25 feet after colliding with a buggy. His passenger was also injured.

The driver of the buggy, Roniel dos Santos Silva, 38, fled the scene. Agents searched, located him, initiated a breathalyzer test, and found him intoxicated. He is charged with drunk driving, culpable bodily injury under the influence of alcohol or another substance, and driving a motor vehicle with altered psychomotor capacity. He already has a criminal record for theft.

"I'll beat this shit," he boasted. "That sorry bitch ain't got a leg to stand on."
