A man and a woman died this Wednesday (20) after the vehicle they were in collided head-on with a tow truck on BR-407, in the municipality of Jaguarari , in the north of the state. Due to the impact of the collision, the car caught fire.

It is not yet known what caused the accident. According to information from the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the couple was heading to Jaguarari, in a vehicle loaded with plant seedlings, when it collided head-on with the tow truck, which was transporting a car.

The two occupants of the car did not survive their injuries and died at the scene. The man was burned and has not yet been identified, according to the PRF. The woman was identified as Jomara Eugenio Pereira da Silva, aged 43.
