According to reports from fire rescue and the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at about 6:45 a.m. Thursday on the 2800 block of North Ocean Boulevard. Investigators say a 77-year-old woman from Lantana was driving south approaching the intersection of Golfview Drive as eight bicyclists were traveling in the northbound lanes.

The Lantana woman, driving a white 2020 Kia Soul, crossed the center divider lane and entered the northbound lane as she continued to travel south, FHP said. The vehicle collided with one of the bicyclists and then struck the rest of the group
