In the early hours of Saturday, May 10, 2025, at approximately 3:30 a.m., a 32-year-old woman was killed inside her home in the city of Nova Olinda, Ceará. The victim, identified as Ângela Suyany Rodrigues Matos, was attacked with gunshots and stab wounds in her home, located on Rua Raimundo Pereira Damasceno, in the Piçarreira neighborhood.

This is the third homicide recorded in the city this year. In 2024, three women were also murdered in Nova Olinda, all inside their homes. The case remains under investigation.
