The body worn camera video is from Officer Michael Tschida’s camera and shows an exchange of gunfire between himself and Brandon Keys. According to a news release issued by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, it was during this exchange when Tschida was struck in the lower leg and Keys was struck in the head.

The in-car camera shows an overall view of the scene.

Responding officers rendered aid and called for Saint Paul Fire medics, who responded and transported Keys to Regions Hospital, where he later died of his injuries. Officer Tschida was transported to Regions Hospital in a Saint Paul police squad car and was treated and released.
