On August 13, a field training officer accompanied by an officer in training on her first day on patrol stopped a car for not having a license plate.

The suspect, Edward Pulley, gave police a fake name and did not have a driver's license.

The body cam footage shows the moment a struggle ensues when the officers attempt to detain him.

The suspect was reaching for the gun in his waistband when the gun discharged hitting the officer in the foot.

The other officer responded by shooting the suspect in the torso.

Pulley was given first aid at the scene by the Officer who was shot, the Officer-In-Training and other responding Officers.

The officer who was shot was taken to the hospital and has since recovered.

Pulley was also hospitalized and has since recovered.

Pulley is currently charged with assault and battery with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm after a former conviction of a felony, false personate another to create liability, resisting an officer, no driver's license and unlawful possession of methamphetamine.
