Body camera video shows a Battle Creek police officer struggling with a man and the sound of a gunshot as the officer was shot in the leg before another officer killed the man.

The video was released at a news conference Friday, the day after the shooting at a Battle Creek coffee shop.

During the news conference, Battle Creek Police Department Chief Shannon Bagley said before the shooting, police were called to Café Rica on E. Michigan Avenue around 9 a.m. Thursday for an “unwanted subject.” He was later identified as 29-year-old Dario Agudelo from San Antonio, Texas.
