On August 12, 2021 at approximately 1:45 a.m., officers assigned to the Central District were in the 400 block of East Baltimore Street when they observed a group of people involved in a physical altercation at the intersection of Baltimore Street and Holliday Street.



As officers approached the group, they heard what they believed to be gunfire and witnessed a man pointing a handgun at the group fighting. The suspect then fled on foot westbound into the 300 block of West Baltimore Street. During the foot pursuit the suspect turned and pointed his handgun at the officer giving chase.



Police Officer Haziminas discharged his departmental issued service weapon three times striking the suspect. Aid was rendered to the wounded suspect and medics transported him to an area hospital for treatment. He was later released from the hospital and is being held at Central Booking for charges stemming from this case and additional outstanding warrants.



The suspect has been identified as 32 year-old Terrance Tyrone Hillman of Baltimore, MD.
