The video shows a man in police uniform struggling on the ground with another man, with several people amongst them in close proximity. The officer has then apparently discharged his weapon several times into the legs of the attacker, before standing up and removing a machete from the injured man.

The injured man, St Obrian Downey, is currently under police observation in Cornwall Regional Hospital with gunshot wounds to the leg, thigh and buttocks.
