On July 20, 2021, there was a fatal accident on the Odessa-Kiev highway.

A Toyota Land Cruiser was driving down the Odessa-Kiev highway about 5 hours away near the village of Burdovka in the Razdelnyansky district of Ukraine. The driver of the SUV appeared to either be asleep or distracted, and was veering off his lane. Nearby, a truck was stalled and waiting. It seems there was no reaction from the driver. Due to the high speed and resistance to avoid the accident, the driver crashed into the stalled DAF truck and died from his injuries.

Information on this fact is included in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Part 2 of Article 286 (violation of traffic safety rules or vehicle operation by persons driving vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The investigation continues.
