An NYPD cop was attacked with a glow stick-like object – causing a deep cut that required two staples – during a weekend protest that spanned two boroughs, authorities said.

The officer was hurt near the tail end of the Saturday night demonstration organized by the group Black Kings NYC – in which a band of 25 protesters marched from the Barclays Center area to West 145th Street and Bradhurst Avenue in Hamilton Heights, police said.

NYPD Deputy Commissioner of Operations Kaz Daughtry on Sunday released a photo of the cop’s bloody head wound, and the weapon used in the assault – which appears to be some kind of glow stick.
