Vidor police have released dashcam video showing a harrowing chase on IH10 that ended with a crash and an arrest.Investigators say 31-year-old Robert Delayne Tunnell Jr. stole a pickup truck with a trailer from a business in Beaumont on Friday, August 4.Vidor police began chasing Tunnell when they spotted him in the stolen vehicle on Interstate 10. Other agencies joined the pursuit.In the Vidor PD dashcam video, Tunnell can be seen swerving across multiple lanes of traffic, nearly causing wrecks with other drivers. As he sped away, fluid from the trailer began flying onto oncoming vehicles.Law enforcement can be seen throwing down spike strips, only for Tunnell to dodge them with a quick lurch to the far left lane. However, Tunnell eventually lost control of the pickup truck and hit both the left and right side barriers in a two lane section of the highway, ending the chase.Officers with guns drawn and a K-9 unit nearby demanded that Tunnell surrender. He complied, shown on a Vidor police dashcam in handcuffs with his facial tattoos in full view of the camera.
