An alleged drunk-driving crash was caught on police camera after it happened steps from an officer, video from the Fairview Heights Police Department shows.An officer pulled over a vehicle early Wednesday morning after a traffic violation near the intersection of St. Clair Avenue and 3rd Avenue, the department said on a Facebook post. One of the vehicle's occupants had an active arrest warrant, so another officer arrived at the scene to assist.The second police car was parked behind the first with its lights on when it was hit by another vehicle, officers said. Body camera footage shows the collision happened after the civilian vehicle traveled through a nearby intersection."The driver of the crashed car, Elesia R. Golliday Brown, Alorton, IL, performed standardized field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol (DUI)," the department's post said. She was arrested and booked. Per Pre-Trial Release, she was released from custody."The department posted the video on Facebook, asking the public to slow down, not drive drunk, and move over."Driving drunk and failing to follow Scott’s Move Over Laws kills many first responders nationwide," the post said.
