Police Information Report: At approximately 01:39 on December 11, 2024, a road traffic accident occurred on Jianxi Road, Xichang City. After receiving the alarm, our bureau immediately arranged for the police to rush to the scene and organize the rescue of the injured, on-site investigation and other related work. After investigation, Wang Moumou (male, 30 years old) drove a small car from the direction of Jianchang Road Archway in Xichang City to the intersection with Zhengyi Road. He knocked down three pedestrians who were crossing the road at the crosswalk, causing three injuries. The person died after resuscitation failed. After testing and identification, Wang Moumou was driving a motor vehicle after drinking (blood alcohol content was 25.1mg/100ml), and the suspicion of drug driving was ruled out. At present, Wang Moumou has been criminally detained by the public security organs in accordance with the law, and the accident investigation and aftermath work are being further carried out.
