Body cam footage of an officer-involved shooting has been released by the city of Lansing. The shooting occurred on Wednesday, Jan. 10 at a home on W Saginaw Street, one block west of Durant Park.

“The following information is preliminary and subject to change as this investigation continues,” the video is captioned. “Here is relevant video which will provide you with a brief overview of the officer-involved shooting that occurred on 1/10/2024. This video is intended to help you better understand the circumstances that led to this incident.”

Lansing Police responded to a call at the house on a follow-up for the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office for a suspect wanted on a probation violation who had fled from deputies several days earlier.
