Louisville, KY - A police chase that began in Jeffersontown has come to a dramatic end at 5329 Dixie Highway. Jeffersontown Major Ken Hatmaker said the incident began as a traffic stop at Taylorsville Road and Patti Lane.

At times, the suspect drove through yards trying to make an escape. The pursuit ended when several police vehicles rammed the suspect's vehicle, trapping him. Officers approached the suspect with their guns drawn, broke out the driver's side window and placed the suspect under arrest.

The car was originally reported as stolen, but police say the woman who owns the vehicle gave the man permission. The suspect is wanted on serious drug charges in Kentucky and domestic violence charges in Indiana.

Several passengers were in the car during the pursuit, but were able to bail at one point. They told police he had a gun and was planning a shoot out at the end of the chase.
