A body was found floating in the waters of the Itacaiunas River, near Balneário do Tacho, in Marabá, this Saturday (24). The victim was identified as Jaime Barbosa de Melo, 22 years old. The discovery was made by the Military Fire Department (CBM), which, after the rescue, called the Homicide Division to begin investigations.

The body was found around 3 pm, about 300 meters from Balneário do Tacho, a popular spot among local residents. Jaime was identified through documents that were with the body. When he was removed from the water, injuries were observed on the victim's face, which raises the suspicion that he may have been killed in a violent manner
