On the night of last Saturday (21), JCG, 44, was shot dead in a bar located on Filinto Muller Avenue, São Mateus neighborhood in Várzea Grande. The incident was recorded around 9:50 pm, when the Military Police were called to attend a homicide case. The crime was committed by two suspects on a motorcycle, who fled shortly after the action.

According to information gathered at the scene, the victim was alone, sitting at a table in the establishment and drinking alcohol, when the two individuals arrived on a motorcycle. The passenger got off the vehicle and approached the victim from behind, firing several shots. The attack was quick and there was no time for the attack to happen or for the man to defend himself.

The Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) was called, but upon arriving at the scene, they found that the victim was already dead. He had been shot twice in the head. Teams from the Official Forensics and Technical Identification Service (Politec) carried out procedures at the crime scene and sent the body to the Legal Medical Institute (IML), where it underwent additional tests.

So far, the motive for the crime is unknown, and the suspects remain at large. The case was passed on to the Civil Police, who began investigations to identify the perpetrators and clarify the explanations for the homicide. Locals said they did not notice any argument or suspicious behavior on the part of the victim before the incident.
