-Video from an officer-related shooting has been released, showing the lead-up to the climactic exchange of gunfire in downtown Bucyrus. The incident occurred on Friday, November 11th in the 200 block of West Charles Street in Bucyrus around 4:35 p.m.

Leading up to the incident, Officer Devin Wireman noticed a silver Honda SUV in the 100 block of East Charles Street, with its back window shattered and bullet damage on the rear of the vehicle. The driver could be seen wearing a silver motorcycle helmet and was holding a rifle in his lap.

Wireman radioed for backup from Lt. Curt Bursby, a 2nd shift supervisor, who was already in the area. As the two officers attempted to conduct a stop on West Charles Street, the driver of the SUV opened fire twice through the back window, striking the closest patrol cruiser.

Wireman returned fire, with one bullet striking the driver in his helmet. The driver then surrendered to officers at the scene.

Jacob D. Davison, 38, was arrested without further incident and is considered a "person of interest" in several Morrow County shootings that occurred the same week. A subsequent vehicle search yielded two rifles, magazines, and ammunition.
