A Muay Thai fighter suffered a gruesome nose injury in a fight at the weekend.

Shayan Heydari was lining up in a bout against Por Tor Thor Petchrungruang but disaster stuck midway through the second round.

As Heydari looked to defend himself, Petchrungruang caught him with a huge uppercut which completely displaced Heydari's nose from its usual position.

However, the horrific injury somehow didn't knock the Iranian out as he shielded a continued onslaught of punches from his opponent before sinking to his knees.

Heydari then received urgent medical treatment before Petchrungruang was declared the winner of the bout by virtue of a technical knockout.
