On Sunday, around 8:00 p.m., officers responded to a residential area located near 8000 Willow Springs about a call for service.

Officers located Anspaw's vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. He did not respond to officers' commands.

Police say he ultimately exited the vehicle armed with a gun and shots were fired by officers.

Officers immediately rendered first aid.

Anspaw was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased, officers say.
