A couple of nurses who worked in an ambulance in Bogotá met a sad end while they were enjoying their day off. Going out on a motorcycle for a ride, they suffered a fatal accident in La Vega, Cundinamarca.

Throughout their careers, these nurses had attended numerous accidents, saving lives in the process. However, on this occasion, neither they nor their colleagues could save them.

The incident occurred at noon on Sunday in the urban area of ​​La Vega, Cundinamarca, on the Bogotá-Medellín highway, in front of the Primax service station. A picket truck and a motorcycle violently collided, resulting in the instant death of the motorcycle driver. Her companion suffered serious injuries and she was taken to a local care center, where she unfortunately died due to the severity of her injuries.

Both young men worked as nurses in the capital and, taking advantage of their day off, they decided to embark on a motorcycle adventure along the highway towards Villeta. The tragic accident took place in La Vega, when apparently the vehicle they collided with was preparing to cross the road, triggering the fatal outcome. Although authorities have not yet issued an official report on the circumstances of the accident, they are conducting an investigation.
