A military police officer died in a serious accident involving a Military Police vehicle, a truck and a truck around 6:40 am Wednesday (27/4). The collision took place at Avenida Governador Roberto Silveira, height of Jardim Ouro Preto, in Nova Friburgo, in the Serrana do Rio region.

According to witnesses, the vehicle of the 11th BPM hit the back of a truck after trying to overtake. After colliding with the truck, the vehicle tipped over and hit the truck in the opposite direction; a cyclist passing on the side of the road was also hit.

Two soldiers were on patrol in the vehicle. The hitchhiker was rescued with minor injuries, while the driver, identified as Sergeant Walter (information indicates that he was Cordeiro), died when he was crushed by the wreckage of the car. The truck driver, the cliclista and the driver of the truck are fine, second reported note 11th BPM.
