A wrecked vehicle facing the wrong way on the 101 Freeway in Hollywood Hills early Thursday morning led to a violent crash that was captured on video.

The man who collided with the abandoned vehicle had to be extricated from his car and taken from the scene by ambulance. He did appear to be talking to rescuers as they worked to get him out of the car.
