Footage taken by a surveillance camera, on Sunday afternoon, shows the elderly man collapsing at a crossroad in Yuhuan county. According to a Zhejiang Satellite TV report, the man remained on the road for nearly eight minutes.

During that time, nearly 23 people passed by but did not bother to help, apart from one woman who attempted to move him to safety. She had apparently identified him, but since she was unable to move him, she rushed to his home for assistance.

Unfortunately, by the time she returned, the man had been run over by a car and died owing to the injuries he suffered.
