ALERT: Florida woman pepper sprays a convenience store clerk over an alleged price dispute on her receipt.

The woman entered a Kwik Stop in Fort Lauderdale, made a purchase, then returned and argued that she had been overcharged.

The store clerk then printed out her receipt to show her that he had not overcharged her and the woman reached around the plexiglass divider and pepper-sprayed him.

The clerk spent hours in the emergency room and said he had to miss several days of work.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office is still searching for the woman who faces potential battery charges.

Spokesperson Miranda Grossman said, “Hopefully you do the right thing and call detectives, because someone shouldn’t have to worry about being pepper sprayed when they go into work."
