A homeless man was attacked by two men while he was sleeping outside a building on Rua Lauro de Freitas, in the city of Alagoinhas , 123km from Salvador . In the images, it is possible to see that the men kick and hit the victim with sticks. The man even writhes in pain, but remains immobile in the face of the attacks.

It is still possible to see when a person, wearing a shirt identifying "Security" passes in front of the person filming the attack.

In a statement, the Civil Police said that an investigation was opened at the Territorial Police Station (DT) of Alagoinhas to investigate "the assault suffered by an as yet unidentified man". The suspect's identity was not revealed.

The police will still hear other witnesses and will carry out investigative measures to identify the others involved in the aggression and the motivation for the crime. The suspects may be charged with the crime of torture.
