At approximately 22:00 hrs, armed officers from the metropolitan police conducted a pre-planned stop of a vehicle identified as being linked to a firearms incident at a nightclub on the previous date.The vehicle, a dark-coloured Audi Q8, was followed by armed police units and brought to a stop on Kirkstall Gardens in Streatham Hill using tactical contact procedures. Police vehicles were positioned to contain the suspect vehicle.During the stop, the subject driver, Chris Kaba, attempted to drive forward, making contact with police vehicles in an effort to escape containment.A firearms officer, Martin Blake, positioned to the front of the vehicle, discharged one round from his rifle through the front windscreen of the Audi Q8 striking Chris Kaba in the head killing him, as an act of self defence to himself and his other officers. Blake Was later Charged With Murder But was not found guilty on the charges.
